Thailand Multi-Sport

Hike, Bike, Sea Canoe, Ride Elephants and Experience Thai Culture

Welcome to Thailand, "the land of a thousand smiles". This is a country with a rich cultural heritage and diverse landscapes of great natural beauty. From the glorious ruins of ancient temples to the excitement of dynamic modern Bangkok; from the lush forested hills of the North to the white sandy beaches of the South; from sporting options to fun-filled entertainment and fascinating culture, the Kingdom offers a kaleidoscope of sights and scenes that will keep you captivated.

Days 1-3 International Flights-Bangkok. The morning after arrival in Bangkok begins with an exploration of the city's major sights and temples--the Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Vimanmek Teak Mansion and silk magnate Jim Thompson's historic house.

Days 4-6 Bangkok-Floating Market-River Kwai-Erawan Waterfall. We switch to pedal power for a cycling tour of the city's narrow lanes and back alleys, passing flower farms and fruit orchards. This magical day concludes with a Thai dance performance during dinner at the fabulous Oriental Hotel. The following day we take a long-tail boat through the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market followed by a visit to the Bridge on the River Kwai, built by Allied POWs during World War II. After a restful night at our floating raft hotel, we hike to the beautiful seven-tiered Erawan Waterfall for a refreshing swim before returning to Bangkok.

Days 7-9 Chiang Mai-Chiang Dao-Hill Tribe Villages. Following our flight to Chiang Mai we visit Doi Suthep, a peak with one of the north's most sacred temples and conclude the day with a stroll through the Night Bazaar. Then it's off to Chiang Dao for an elephant show, a stream-crossing elphant ride through the jungle and a hike to a hill tribe village. We top off our tour of Chiang Mai with a bicycle ride through the countryside and visits to several craft centers.

Days 10-11 Khao Sok National Park. A flight south leads us to Khao Sok and it's limestone mountains, rainforest, deep valleys and island-studded lake. Hiking to and swimming at Sib En Chan Waterfall along with our tree house lodging highlight the visit here.

Days 12-15 Phuket-Phang-Nga Bay-Bangkok-Departing Flights. Phuket, "Pearl of the South", is the setting for two days of fun and relaxation at our white sand beach resort. A sea canoe adventure among the "hongs" and caves of renowned Phang-Nga Bay is unforgettable. Back in Bangkok, we conclude with a farewell dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River through the heart of the city.
