Exciting New Tours for 2006!

Each year we search for new and extraordinary off-the-beaten path adventures. For 2006 we've come up with nine unique programs that meet our demanding standards for fun, adventure and quality.

Across the Alps Hiker. This spectacular tour crosses the Alps from picturesque Bavaria to the glaciated peaks of the Tyrol and on to the Mediterranean Meran. Beautiful mountain huts at 6000 to 9000 feet are mixed with charming hotels and guesthouses down in the valleys. Wildflower-filled meadows, glaciers, and rugged peaks highlight one of Europe's most famous and challenging trails.

Antarctic Adventure Cruise. Experience the last utterly untamed place on earth as we cruise to the "White Continent". Explore giant penguin and seabird colonies, the greatest concentration of sea mammals in the world, and a vast, stark landscape of monstrous icebergs, snow covered mountains and endless glaciers.

Arctic "Polar Bear" Adventure Cruise. If you are fascinated by polar bears and dream of seeing them in the wild, this is the trip for you! Watch them swim in drifting pack ice, stalk prey along a gleaming glacier or play with cubs in a tundra meadow. Plus whales, seals, reindeer, thousands of seabirds--all in the Arctic's most stunning polar scenery!

Big Bend-Rio Grande Hiker. Big Bend National Park, named for the great turn the Rio Grande River makes in southwest Texas, is America's least visited national park due to its remote location. This vast and extraordinary Park contains three natural divisions: the Rio Grande with its 118 miles of lush, green floodplain; the sprawling Chihuahuan Desert and the majestic Chisos Mountain Range. The Park boasts more than 450 species of birds and a diverse range of mammals from black bears and mountain lions to javelinas and jackrabbits. Join us for this week-long glimpse into the splendors of the "Last Frontier of Texas" as we hike to the rim of the Chisos Mountains and canoe along the Mexican border through magnificent Santa Elena Canyon.

Botswana Camping Safari. This value-priced camping adventure has it all: the Okavango Delta, Moremi and Chobe National Parks, Savuti, Tsodilo Hills World Heritage Site plus Namibia's utterly wild Caprivi game reserves and awesome Victoria Falls in Zambia.

Guatemala Multi-Sport. This exhilarating itinerary takes you to the country's highlights plus off-the-beaten path destinations to explore Guatemala like few will! Climb an active volcano, bike through spectacular scenery on local trade routes, kayak on renowned Lake Atitlan, see the spectacular ruins of Tikal and visit colorful local markets.

Iceland "Fire and Ice" Hiker. Iceland is not only closer than you think, but far different than you ever imagined. Where else can you witness such marvels of Mother Nature as a tremendous icecap and several glaciers, spouting geysers, volcanoes (hopefully dormant), raging rivers and magnificent waterfalls, a multitude of birds, cavorting whales just offshore and many other surprises?

South Africa Multi-Sport. Taste the adventure of South Africa! Hike the Blyde River Canyon, track rhino, elephant and lion in spectacular game parks, savor the famous wines of the Cape, cycle along the Cape Peninsula, kayak among penguins, explore world famous Cango Caves and dare to dive with great white sharks!

Thailand Multi-Sport. Welcome to Thailand, "the land of a thousand smiles". This is a country with a rich cultural heritage and diverse landscapes of great natural beauty. From the glorious ruins of ancient temples to the excitement of dynamic modern Bangkok; from the lush forested hills of the North to the white sandy beaches of the South; from sporting options to fun-filled entertainment and fascinating culture, the Kingdom offers a kaleidoscope of sights and scenes that will keep you captivated.
